A4E: Bosch Rexroth is headline sponsor

07 January 2010

Bosch Rexroth AG, one of the world's leading specialists in the field of drive and control technologies, will be headline sponsor for Appetite for Engineering to be held at the Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire on 29 April 2010

The company will also be headline sponsor of the associated Food Processing Awards 2010, which will be held on the evening of 29 April.

Under the brand name of Rexroth the company supplies more than 500,000 customers with tailored solutions for driving, controlling and moving machinery used in industrial and factory automation as well as in mobile applications. As The Drive & Control Company, Bosch Rexroth develops, produces and sells components and systems in more than 80 countries. In 2007 Bosch Rexroth AG, part of the Bosch Group, achieved sales of about 5.4 billion Euro with approximately 33,000 employees.

Appetite for Engineering was launched in 2007 with a mission to drive engineering and automation into the food processing industry. Its theme of "investment in engineering and automation would provide competitive advantage, better productivity and higher profits for food processors" is more relevant than ever in the current economic climate. The first event, held in November 2007 at Chesford Grange in Warwick, was a great success.

The 2nd Appetite event was held in February 2009 at the Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire, and feedback from delegates and sponsors was just as positive. The venue was deemed to be ideal for hosting the event and it was immediately booked for the third Appetite for Engineering conference, to be held on Thursday 29 April 2010.
