Slewing ring bearing for food contact

Hygienically designed slewing ring bearings for rotating components, created by igus, eliminates the need for protective covers in machinery destined for hygiene-sensitive areas. The hygienic-type iglidur PRT slewing ring bearing enables fast and residue-free cleaning and can remain permanently installed in an application with food contact.

The hygienic version the iglidur PRT slewing ring bearing is made of stainless steel and FDA-compliant wear resistant polymer and is designed in such a way that it can be cleaned without residue. There are no 90° corners, welds and edges; all components of the slewing ring bearing are rounded. All levels have a gradient of at least 3° so water runs off completely and does not collect.
