Meat producer reduces CO2 and energy costs with latest compressor technology

03 November 2022

As a member of Origin Green, the Irish Food Board (Bord Bia) Sustainable Food Production Programme, ABP Slaney, an Irish beef-producing business, wanted to upgrade its plant to replace its old compressed air system through distribution partner, ILS Engineering, to lower its carbon output by using less energy.

The move to a modern compressor, not only helped to meet its sustainability objectives, but has also saved the company over €25,000 annually on energy costs.

Mark Whitmore, BOGE UK general manager explained further: “Reducing energy costs is vital for every business, more so than ever today in order to survive the current economic climate. It has never been more vital to invest in upgraded, efficient machinery to ensure that energy bills are reduced.”
