Integrated products to enhance both energy and performance efficiencies

23 August 2021

Lafert Electric Motors is delighted to be exhibiting at the PPMA show (Sept 28-30, Stand A64), the UK’s largest ever event dedicated to state-of-the-art processing and packaging machinery. It will be great to once more engage in face-to-face communication with our current and hopefully future customers.

Lafert will be taking this opportunity to present for the first time two new products, ‘Smartris’, a drive solution for Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), and our ‘Combi’ customer-tailored permanent magnet motor/drive package. We will also be exhibiting our ‘Marlin’ stainless motors and gearboxes, together with a selection of ‘HP’ permanent magnet motors, asynchronous and single-phase machines, brake motors and inverters.

Combining three smart components, the ‘Smartris’ drive package provides an advanced drive solution for AGVs. It is ideal for such applications as unit load carriers, tow vehicles, assembly line trucks and mobile robots used in today’s automated factories and production facilities where there is drive for ever increasing efficiency and reduced human involvement.

It integrates cyclo-gear, servo motor and electronic drive technologies into a compact, efficient package. In addition to offering high efficiency, it is designed to simplify installation and maintenance.

Our ‘Combi’ package is an innovative combination comprising our HPS permanent magnet, synchronous motors and pre-configured VFDs (Variable Frequency Drive), optimised to ensure maximum efficiency for specific customer applications with the benefit of plug-and-play installation. The Combi is targeted to both variable torque applications (typically HVAC) and constant torque duties, such as required for materials handling, air compressors and vacuum pumps.
