Now that Government has set down a clear roadmap out of lockdown, we have been able to confidently secure a date for the next event, which will take place, as a live event, on 9th September, at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry.

Our keynote presentation will come from Ian Wright, CEO at the Food & Drink Federation, who is convinced that greater technology adoption of the factory floor is a vital consideration to ensure greater profitability of food and beverage businesses in the future.

Presenters at the event will include Richard Morris of the Bury Black Pudding Company who will be talking about his smart factory journey, the help he has received along the journey, and sharing his learnings, offering advice for those just starting out on the smart factory road.

We will also be joined by Nik Watson, assistant professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Nottingham who will be introducing the idea of the connected food factory and talking through the barriers and benefits to achieving this goal.

The Covid-19 pandemic required the food industry to make some very rapid changes to production lines and we believe that this has acted as a wake-up call for many, in relation to the flexibility and efficiency of their production processes. This will be one of the leading topics of conversation at the event and we believe that this year the Appetite for Engineering event will have additional importance for the food and beverage sector – offering  a very timely opportunity to finally come together again to discuss challenges and explore solutions.

We invite you to join us on 9th September – to take part in the discussion  and learn more you’re your peers and industry experts about how you could reap the benefits of automation technology.
