Easy clean computer consoles

Teknomek has introduced a range of computer consoles developed for the food processing sector. They are said to offer a solution that supports the specialist wash down needs of facilities that are becoming increasingly automated. 

Floor and desk-mounted models are designed to keep computers and monitors of up to 28in safe, secure and dry in even the challenging production environments. 

The products were developed with the cleaning procedures at food facilities front of mind to enable fast and effective cleaning, while also protecting the computer from moisture damage. Hygienic points of difference include the removal of harbourage points  – for example no dirt traps underneath and diamond bracing for the legs – and access doors have a single return to the lower edge so they are less likely to collect debris.   

All doors are rubber sealed to prevent water ingress. The consoles also feature sloping tops to direct liquids away from the air flow vents, which sport internal splash protectors as a secondary line of defence.  

The base unit is designed for rapid drainage and to allow warm air to escape, this ensures the food grade shatterproof polycarbonate front panel won’t fog, even in humid environments. 

The units are available in left or right-handed opening to suit the location. A lockable keyboard drawer converts into flip out mouse shelf and has a separate locking mechanism so managers can control access to the computer itself in order to maintain data security.  

Teknomek has also launched a set of hygienic accessories to complement the computer consoles. These include a printer cabinet, a water resistant stainless and silicon computer keyboard with optional touchpad, and a fully sealed IP68 waterproof mouse.
