Portable hands-free dispensers

14 June 2020

Teknomek has introduced a portable hand sanitising unit to support food businesses in reducing transference risk in the workplace.

The dispenser supports a viscosity range of 2000-5000 CP, making it compatible with both soap and hand gel. Contents are released touch-free using an infra-red sensor.

Sue Springett, commercial manager at Teknomek, said: “With no clear timeline on a Coronavirus vaccine, we have seen a surge in demand for products that support hands-free operations and social distancing.

“High touch surfaces, such as taps, door handles and dispensers pose a particular transference risk. Options such as infra-red or knee-operated go a long way to solving that problem, each time a touch point is removed, another risk is managed away.” Weighing just over 10.5kg the dispenser is mounted on a durable and easy-clean 304-grade stainless steel pedestal.

The dispenser has a maximum 800cc capacity and the sensor is powered by three standard 1.5 v batteries offering 145,000 operations.
