Hygienic motor/drive solutions with financial benefits

Designed and made specifically for hygiene-sensitive applications, Lafert’s ‘Marlin’ range of stainless-steel motors, gearboxes and complementary inverters are ideal for applications throughout the food and drink industries.

They can save significant amounts of time and money by minimising machine strip-downs for cleaning and reducing motor repair/replacement costs.

As well as being hose-down tolerant (IP69K/66), Marlin motors are smooth bodied, designed to eliminate potential catchment zones where material could accumulate and create a potential contamination risk. Also, being IE3 rated, these motors comply with the latest energy efficiency requirements. Powers up to 22kW are available.

Stainless-steel gearboxes in both worm and helical bevel configurations are available. Their uniform design makes them suitable for multi-unit stacking or back-to-back double ratio installations to deliver very low output speeds and high torques.

Completing the Marlin solution is the option for a pre-wired package (motor-to-inverter) with stainless-steel glands and fully encapsulated terminal boxes to help ensure system integrity by avoiding possible errors in installation and connection procedures.
