Federation of Bakers welcomes AIB

15 April 2019

AIB International UK, a provider of training, consultation and support including a wide range of bakery and food safety services, has joined the Federation of Bakers.

The company was founded in America in 1919 (formerly the American Institute of Baking) as a technology and information transfer centre for bakers and food processors. Its original mission was to put science to work for the baker, a theme that has expanded yet remains central to its programmes, products, and services.

Gordon Polson, chief executive of the Federation of Bakers, said: “We are delighted to welcome AIB International UK as an associate member of our organisation and hope to support them as they continue to expand their business.”

The Federation of Bakers represents the UK’s largest bakeries, with nine member companies running 34 bakeries in the United Kingdom.

AIB International UK joins current associate members AAK (UK), AB Mauri UK and Ireland, ADM Milling, American Pan UK, Baker Perkins, Bakers’ Basco, British Bakels, Bühler, Campden BRI, CSM (UK), Energy Management LLP, GB Ingredients, FlexLink Systems, Kaak Group, Kwik Lok, Lesaffre Group, NFU Mutual, Puratos, Spooner Industries, TasteTech, The Ice Co, United Bakery Equipment Co, Zeelandia and Zeppelin Systems.
