Hygienic junction box range

05 November 2018

Flexicon has launched a range of stainless-steel Grade 316L junction boxes for applications requiring high levels of hygiene and ingress protection.

Available as standard with either two or four M20 entries, the boxes aim to offer a solution for the interconnection of circuits in hygienic applications.

With high ingress protection, with IP66, IP67, IP68 and IP69 performance, the boxes are well suited to use in environment subject to frequent wash down routines, or where connections will be subject to extended wet and/or damp conditions.

The base features two pre-drilled mounting holes to provide a simple option for fixing terminals or DIN rail within the box and, blanking plus can be used to seal off any unused ways.

When used with Flexicon’s short thread fitting and flexible conduit, the box is said to offer maximum available wiring space. There is a choice of seven different hygienic conduits depending on the environment or potential hazards that the cabling could be exposed to.

The connection box can also be used to connect and interface with cable glands, to offer flexibility for the installation.
