ACS&T invests in new Wolverhampton offices

Work has started on food logistics specialist ACS&T’s new regional office at its Park Lane, Wolverhampton site.

ACS&T is investing £1m in the two storey, 5000 sq ft office development, which will become home to management, sales and marketing, network planning, human resources and commercial sales teams.

Completion is expected in August 2015 and the move represents a significant investment in the company’s future, explained ACS&T managing director Malcolm Johnstone.

He said: “This is an exciting development for ACS&T.  We are ambitious as a business, and we are looking to the future in terms of modernising our operations and setting up the business for continued growth.

“These new offices will enable us to create a superb, high quality working environment for our employees and be a showcase for our customers and visitors.”

Designed by pHp Architects and being built by Watson & Cox Construction in conjunction with project managers Goodrich Consulting, the new offices include a state of the art business continuity suite. 

As a subsidiary of the international group Camellia Plc, ACS&T’s expertise in multi-temperature food logistics goes back nearly a century.   

Its sophisticated nationwide food storage and distribution network provides ambient, chilled and frozen integrated services to food manufacturers, wholesalers and speciality producers of all sizes.  

ACS&T was one of the first companies to achieve British Retail Consortium (BRC) certification (storage and distribution) for all its sites, which are in Wolverhampton, Grimsby, Tewkesbury and Scarborough.

Its extensive estates include 12 cold stores, three ambient stores, comprehensive co-packing and blast freezing facilities and large, dedicated and shared-user multi-temperature transport fleets.
