HYBRID equipment utilises new foam technology for more efficient cleaning

26 September 2014

Ecolab introduces HYBRID, a new line of foam dispensing equipment for the European food and beverage industry.

Developed jointly with Nilfisk Food, a global leader in foam dispensing equipment, HYBRID utilises new technology to make facility rinsing and cleaning processes more efficient.

HYBRID offers a flexible, modular and extendable solution designed to handle a variety of foam applications, including direct injection or pre-diluted chemicals, fixed or variable product metering and the dispensing of multiple cleaning solutions, including Ecolab’s Advantis® Mix concept.

“Ecolab continually pursues new solutions that improve operational efficiencies for our customers,” said Jerome Charton, senior vice president and general manager of Ecolab Food & Beverage, Europe. “The new HYBRID equipment line delivers the cleaning performance, durability and safety features to meet the specific needs of our food and beverage customers.”

HYBRID utilises Nilfisk Food’s Corona Technology™, a circular air compression technology that mixes water, air and cleaning solutions to produce a more stable, high-quality foam with improved adhesive properties compared to existing foam equipment products. HYBRID can be used in food processing facilities to clean production lines and open places, such as floors and tables, and in dairies and beverage production facilities.

The HYBRID foam dispensing equipment line is available to food and beverage customers throughout Europe through an exclusive agreement between Ecolab and Nilfisk Food. “Nilfisk Food focuses on setting new standards in the market through innovation, ensuring leading performance,” said Jan Soendergaard Pedersen, general manager of Nilfisk Food.

HYBRID technology has been extensively tested in the field and is designed to handle years of use. The robust, tamper-proof, closed hygienic design is simple to operate, easy to service and comes with a unique, three-year warranty.
