Interroll sorter successfully put into operation at City-Link Express Malaysia

29 July 2014

Interroll successfully put its crossbelt sorter into operation at City-Link Express, an international express delivery and integrated logistics service provider, with about 50,000 shipments being sorted daily.

City-Link is being recognized as a pioneer in introducing innovative technologies. “The Interroll crossbelt sorter not only fit well to our current sortation requirements and dramatically improves our sortation efficiency but also can easily adapt to our future needs, which is extremely important to a fast growing company like ours”., commented by Mr. Ronald Tan, COO of City-Link Express. “What is more, we are also satisfied that we got to work closely together with the Interroll team throughout the project execution”.

Interroll sorters’ proven mechanical design and patented discharge mechanism assures highest availability and accurate sorting for timely deliveries, even for sensitive goods. This product operates with a mechanical positive drive principle with up to 90% efficiency drives, yielding up to 50% energy savings in comparison to linear motors. Interroll’s crossbelt sorter is the first choice of global companies like Amazon, DHL, FedEx and Fiege, as well as the world’s most profitable postal companies, including USPS, Deutsche Post and Swiss Post.

“Efficiency, reliability, availability and production is vital to any courier company. We are very happy to be selected by City-Link and very willing to help them to expand their business in a reliable and efficient way.” added by Mr. Gan Wee Seng, Managing Director of Interroll Singapore.
