New distribution partnership for Village Dairy

24 April 2014

Welsh yogurt maker, Village Dairy has agreed a new distribution partnership with Heart Distribution to extend the reach of its products with retailers beyond Wales.

The move is in response to both retailer and customer demand which has gradually increased as listings have grown particularly in the delicatessen market. Heart Distribution will carry the full Llaeth Y Llan product range and pot sizes.

Llior Radford,  Marketing and Commercial Director at Village Dairy said “We know that we have an increasing market of people who have tried our products when visiting Wales however, when they return home they can’t buy them locally. Equally, there are many Welsh people who also would like to be able to buy our products outside of Wales. The decision to find a distribution partner and grow our brand presence nationally initially stemmed from people on social media asking us where they could find our products.

“This gave us the confidence that we did appeal to a wider market and to explore finding the right distribution partner. Heart is certainly a great opportunity for us to get our brand out further afield. They are known for representing the best small producers and you can see from the other brands they work with that we are in good company.”

Part of the Blakemore Group, Heart Distribution works with over 180 small food producers to bring more than 3,000 product lines to market. From its distribution base in Wolverhampton the company supplies to retailers nationwide throughout England and Wales.
