Sustainable Water Solutions with the CSR factor from Eau de Vie

09 November 2012

The consequences of plastic bottles can have a negative impact on the environment, worth millions of pounds a year and with the rising transport, bottling and recycling costs, the packaging can cost more than the water itself

Using on-site reusable bottles filled with fresh, filtered water is the most environmentally friendly way to serve chilled water from a glass bottle. As well as eliminating the handling, waste and food miles generated by conventional bottled water, it dramatically reduces a site’s carbon footprint.

Fresh, filtered water system, Eau de Vie, is a purified water system for use in hotels, bar, leisure and conference facilities where users can bottle and brand their own water.

A Green Apple award-winner with eco credentials, Eau de Vie can help a business step up its approach to corporate social responsibility. Not only does it produce great-tasting quality water but it also boasts a number of sustainable benefits which include:-

· No transport costs for delivering or taking bottled water away

· No time spent recycling bottles

· Reduces a site’s carbon footprint

· Eliminates the handling, waste and food miles generated by conventional bottled water

· Provides re-usable bottles that can be branded

Nick Burridge, Sales Director at Classeq said: “With sustainable and environmental benefits, as well as innovative ways to present and make a profit from water, onsite filtered water systems have got more sophisticated in recent years and are growing in popularity. Eau de Vie offers a solution to industries looking to reduce their carbon footprint and be more sustainable.

“Today, many customers are starting to require evidence of a green commitment and Eau de Vie can prove a useful ally in the green debate. It’s a Green Apple Award winner that has built a reputation for leading the filtered water response to costly and wasteful practices of shipping bottled water and canisters.”

He continues: “The Eau de Vie system also allows users to bottle and brand their own water, enabling businesses a further benefit - to charge a premium for the water. It’s still cheaper than standard bottled mineral water and with a prestigious Green Apple Award underlining both the functionality and the eco credentials of the system; it’s a savvy way for businesses to take a responsible yet lucrative look at the water market”.

Eau de Vie supplies a range of units designed for different needs and a variety of locations. The units fall into three categories: Table Top, Free-standing (to fit into existing counters or base units) and Remote cassette (to fit remotely to the tap for total flexibility of installation). There is a choice of sizes available, with capacities ranging from 25 to 100 litres per hour.

Classeq offers full pre- and after-sales support, from site-survey to commissioning, staff training and on-going maintenance. Eau de Vie is available to rent and buy.
