TricorBraun designs new bottle for new concept

12 October 2012

A  new concept in the fortified waters category required an equally unusual bottle. TricorBraun Design and Engineering created a distinctive container that is as uncommon as the product it holds.

Vitamin Squeeze is a nutrient enriched water enhancer that the consumer adds to a glass of tap water. The one-of-a-kind product is sold in a custom-designed, inverted bottle, also the first-of-its-type in the waters category.

The inverted, eight ounce bottle is manufactured with PET, employs a 38-400 neck finish and uses a polypropylene inverted valve in the silver closure. The container is decorated with a full-body shrink wrap sleeve label.

Now sold in Safeway, Bashas and Albertsons stores, Vitamin Squeeze Water Enhancer is available in four flavors: tropical citrus, fruit punch and acai-grape-pomegranate and peach green tree.

Vitamin Squeeze is manufactured by Ecosentials, LLC a Phoenix-based firm.

TricorBraun Design and Engineering creates—without charge—custom designed, award-winning packages for companies that purchase containers from TricorBraun. It provides solutions for new products, imaginative functional specifications and unique branding objectives.

TricorBraun (www.tricorbraun.com) with sales approaching $1 billion, is one of North America’s largest providers of jars, bottles and other rigid packaging components. The company has more than 40 locations in the United States, Canada, England, Mexico and Asia.

TricorBraun’s primary focus is on packaging for: personal care; nutritional supplements; cosmetics; healthcare; food and beverages; as well as industrial and household chemicals.

Article image Thinking outside the box…

The design brief for this product was to bring ‘bag in box’ wine into the 21st century. In order to do so, it was decided that wine in a box had to become ‘fashionable’. With the knowledge that 8 out of every 10 bottles of wine bought to drink at home are bought by women plus the knowledge that handbags are at the top of a woman’s most wanted list, the Vernissage Wine Handbag was, without doubt, the most obvious fashion choice.Full Story...
