Warburtons wins FP Skills Award

Warburtons was the judges' favourite on the night, beating out The Jordans & Ryvita Company, Britvic, Oliver James Foods and Arla Foods.
The Skills Award is as popular as ever, particularly after a tough contest, which saw Warburtons win the Skills Award owing to judges' voting.
The company beat out The Jordans and Ryvita Company (whose site engineering manager, Tristan Holloway, was given a special commendation), Britvic, Arla Foods and Oliver James Foods.
John Craig, one of the judges who met Warburtons' Claire Wilson and Darren Hunt, noted that the two had shown real determination in doing what they needed to achieve within the constraints of resources and finances.
''Instead of just giving up, they developed their own internal method of getting where they needed to be,'' says John. ''The other thing that came across strongly was how all engineers were brought in to the process - there was full acceptance of what was being done, from the engineers onwards.
''Their vision, energy & determination impressed me most.''
