New products from Jacob UK

12 March 2012

Jacob (UK) will introduce a range of new products for use with its market leading modular pipework systems at FoodEx 2012 (Stand Q335)

Rotary Valves
Designed for reliable operation with minimal maintenance, the latest HT-250/350 series of rotary valves are ideal for operating with cyclones or as an airlock to dispense regulated volumes of product. The valves have capacities up to 35 m3/hr, with a maximum pressure difference of 0.05 bar. Applications range from weighing, blending, cooling and accurately feeding granules or powder, with no reduction of feed pressure and importantly, exchangeable synthetic or steel rotor tips.

Metal detection
Also demonstrated at FoodEx are the latest Hi-speed, fast acting valves for use in free-fall metal detection systems. Designed primarily for in-line processing applications where space is limited, these compact, 2-way asymmetrical fast acting pneumatic diverter valves separate metal contaminates from product in gravity fed or low pressure air handling systems. The main advantage is the Jacob solution is the high operating speed and requirement for only a short non-metallic section above the valve.

Flexible Compensator
JACOB (UK) will also show its new range of electrostatically conductive flexible compensators for reducing unwanted vibration in food processing pipelines.

Designed for the food industry but suitable for conveying granular and dusty products, the new compensator has pressure tight connections rated at 0.2 bar and operates in a temperature range from -20 to +90 degrees centigrade. The black EPDM JACOB Compensator has excellent electrostatic conductive properties for conveying granular or dusty products liable to attract static electricity. The transparent Compensator has EC food approval to meet a range of relevant EC Directives for conveying food or drugs.

Also on show at FoodEx will be a new range of high pressure pipe couplings and many examples of the extensive range of JACOB UK modular pipework systems, components and valves, including the universal Earthing Bridge for electrostatic potential equalization. With19 standard diameters from 60mm to 800mm in galvanised or stainless steel and now in the latest powder coated finishes, JACOB can cater for all types of pipework installation.
