New test grill facility from WMH

31 January 2012

WMH UK has manufactured a new browning grill for use as a test facility for food manufactures. It will enable existing grill users and manufacturers looking at the option of enhancing their products to conduct trials either at WMH UK workshops or at their own factories

Many manufacturers are looking at ways to improve the visual appearance and eating qualities that a baked like finish, achieved in an in-line grilling/browning process, produces.

The test facility will be able to show the effects of grilling on a wide range of products. Ready meals, potato topped products, breads, pizzas, meringues and desserts are some of the products that benefit from the grilling process. Presenting a chilled or frozen product that looks and eats, as a freshly baked item is a major advantage offered by the grilling system.

Most forms of carrier can be accommodated from CEPT, foil to card. The CPET process is patented.

The grill uses the latest infrared technology that has the benefit of being very effective and energy efficient. This means that there is very little heat soak into the product that would require further costly cooling. The equipment is very factory friendly requiring only a suitable electrical connection to operate. WMH UK Ltd. personal will attend trials and offer their experience and knowledge gained in developing this process.
