It is made of robust stainless steel, without grooves or indentations, and it’s easy to clean. The new distribution box from Murrelektronik is made for the Food & Beverage industry!

It meets the demanding requirements within industry, features eight M12 ports and facilitates further cost-efficient installation solutions in machines and systems for food and beverage applications.

Food and beverage production requires clean and hygienic conditions throughout the entire process. The components used in this industry must be designed so that food particles don’t stick to the parts and they can endure the harshest cleaning. This is achieved through their design and composition.

Stainless steel is often used because it guarantees the highest de-grees of protection and durability. Murrelektronik is very experienced in this field and offers a wide range of connectors for the F&B industry that are proven to meet these requirements.

The new Food & Beverage distribution box from Murrelektronik is built from this experience. Its housing is cast out of a single piece of stainless steel which means a more simple design without surface pockets, grooves or indentations where food particles can adhere. Rounded edges facilitate cleaning. All gaskets are made without any fissures.

A smooth and sealed surface is part of our hygienic and reliable design. For this reason, the LED status display is not included in the box. They are housed in the connectors.

Murrelektronik offers M12 steel connectors with integrated LED for the F&B industry.

Mounting brackets on the side make sure that the mounting distance is perfect to avoid small fissures but allow enough room for quick and convenient cleaning, for example with a high-pressure cleaner. A light gray homerun cable that repels dirt and is resistant to common cleaning agents also meets the high F&B industry’s requirements. It is connected to the dis-tribution box with a newly developed stainless steel gland.

The distribution boxes meet all requirements and directives regarding the cleaning of compo-nents in process plant engineering (Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, DIN EN 1672-2-2005, EHEDG Documents 8 and 13).
