Fortress to show vector integrated conveyor

18 January 2012

Fortress Technology (Europe) Ltd will be showing its latest Vector integrated conveyor and metal detector system which has been recently enhanced to meet new supermarket retailer standards

It now comprises an audible or visual alarm to indicate when there have been metal rejects in order to help identify potential issues early. The unit on display will feature a Stealth control panel specially designed for use in a range of production environments and incorporating a USB port for data capture.

Fully compliant with British Retail Consortium (BRC) and English European Food Safety Inspection Service (EFSIS) specifications, the Fortress Technology Vector integrated conveyor system is a convenient and effective all-in-one solution developed to achieve the most accurate inspection results by optimising the performance of Phantom metal detectors.

Purpose built to integrate with standard rectangular aperture metal detectors, the Vector conveyor offers reliable performance even after washdown. Easy to clean and maintain, the machine features a fully modular design and is robustly constructed to industrial specifications using a stainless steel frame.

Offering simple operation, outstanding reliability and exceptional performance, the Stealth’s modular design means fewer product parts resulting in greater reliability, while the robust Lexan control panel is designed to withstand the harshest production conditions.

Providing excellent return on investment, the Stealth has been developed for future redesigns and new elements of the machine can also be retrofitted to older models, ensuring spare parts and upgrades for additional functionality are readily available. The Stealth model also offers the capability to capture performance information, such as rejects and faults, and store them onto a USB device for management reporting.

For heightened stability and performance in wet or heavy duty product applications, IP69K certified extra rugged casing has been used. The addition of an epoxy chute makes this unit water resistant.

Fortress Technology’s robust Phantom metal detectors are exceptionally reliable yet easy to operate and maintain. Utilising the latest Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology to ensure complete product integrity, the systems offer superior accuracy and speed. They are available in a wide range of aperture sizes with a selection of construction options including painted aluminium, stainless steel and BSH (IP69K certified).

Other key features include UltraSense, which ensures that high sensitivity levels are maintained in order to detect the smallest metal contaminants, and Auto Test, self-diagnostics tool, which helps to guarantee consistent high performance and to keep costs down.
