Pecan Deluxe doubles up choc madness

18 January 2012

Pecan Deluxe Candy (Europe), has added another dimension to its cookie dough range. Based on the same secret ingredients of its original cookie dough recipe, which was inspired by the classic American style cookie, the company has developed a double chocolate alternative.

Reminiscent of mother's home recipe straight from the mixing bowl and still replicating the homemade raw dough that is typically used to bake cookies, Pecan Deluxe has added bittersweet chocolate chips and cocoa powder to the dough mix to create a gloriously chocolatey, smooth, chewy cookie dough.

Rich in colour and flavour, these double chocolate cookie dough inclusions from Pecan Deluxe are made from free range eggs and are available in 14mm rounds. They can add value to an array of other frozen desserts such as sundaes and gateaux and are ideal for manufacturers of premium quality ice creams.

Developed exclusively by Pecan Deluxe's skilled food technologists, the cookie dough inclusions are all produced at the company's nut free manufacturing facility in Sherburn-in-Elmet and are a true testament to combining time-honoured, traditional manufacturing techniques with modern commercial demands.

The introduction of the highly indulgent double chocolate chip cookie dough proves that American flavours and textures are still as popular as ever, these inclusions have been developed to use ingredients that are more appropriate to the taste expectations of today's European consumers.

As with its other inclusions, Pecan Deluxe is able to tailor the product to meet the desired textures to cover the varying melting points of different ice-creams. The company can also work closely with customers to help them draw out specific textures and flavours of the cookie dough.

The new double chocolate cookie dough adds to the already extensive list of tastes, textures and shapes in the Pecan Deluxe range of over 250 products, all of which are designed to allow food manufacturers to develop tastes that are both personalised and delicious.

Pecan Deluxe's dedication to research and development has been the backbone of the success of its innovative products and as consumers become increasingly aware of the ingredients in finished products, it is paramount that the company is able to provide easy solutions and diversity for food processors to help them meet these growing demands.
