Automatic sheet dispensing at minus 20 degrees

PAL-Cut A/S, which specialises in equipment and consumables for automated palletising systems, is launching a brand new PAL-Cut sheet dispenser for cold stores. It has been specially designed for continuous operation in food industry cold stores
“A leading Danish ice-cream manufacturer wanted an automatic sheet dispenser for palletisation at minus 20°C, but there simply wasn’t a suitable solution available on the market.
Together with the robot supplier, we have developed a unique solution that reduces the staffing level required and has a payback time of just 17 months,” explains Preben Nielsen, Key Account Manager at PAL-Cut A/S.
The frost-optimised PAL-Cut sheet dispenser is equipped with special routines, components and heating devices which ensure problem-free operation in cold stores. It has been tested at temperatures as low as minus 20°C.
The PAL-Cut machine ensures the automatic dispensing of intermediate sheets in automated palletisation lines. The machine dispenses up to eight sheets per minute and can automatically cut sheets to all pallet sizes. With 4,000 metres of Antim65 non-slip paper, continuous operation will last for quite some time.
