Appetite gets ace headline speaker

20 December 2011

Jim Moseley, MD of General Mills UK & Ireland, and president of the Food & Drink Federation, will be headline speaker at the Appetite for Engineering conference at Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire

Jim started his career with FMC Meat, then joined Ovaltine manufacturer Wander Foods, where he was responsible for the UK launch of the sports drink Isostar.

He was hired by Tulip International as sales and marketing director, and spent 12 years with the group before moving to General Mills UK (formerly Pillsbury) in 1999 as MD.

In January 2011 Jim took over from Ross Warburton as president of the Food & Drink Federation. He has made his mark with an approachable and highly knowledgeable demeanour.

Jim has previously said he places 'enormous value' on the vision, culture and values of General Mills, and that with an environment of openness, fairness and transparency, trust and commitment have been built among the staff.

He is the latest speaker to confirm his attendance at Appetite. Others include Macphie of Glenbervie, Warburtons, Burton's Foods, Percy's Vodka, the University of Lincoln, RM Group, The British Association of Robotics & Automation, Endoline Machinery and Marks & Spencer.
