Easy fit LED tubes reduce running costs

01 November 2011

Abbeychart has introduced a new range of LED tubes which are simple drop-in replacements for fluorescent tubes

The initial cost may be higher, but is well outweighed by the lifetime, labour and replacement costs for changing failed tubes and starters.

Improved technology and manufacturing processes contribute to a LED tube life of around 35,000 hours, approximately 5 times the life of fluorescent tubes, using only quarter of the power and running much cooler. Light ‘flicker’ is eliminated with the use of LED’s and a softer, more sympathetic and consistent illumination is achieved with standard diffusers.

The range suits most standard sizes from 30cm to 120cm and have universal pin positions. Because LED’s are manufactured without using any heavy metals, there are no high disposal costs and because they are contained in plastic, transport breakage, packing and postage is reduced dramatically.

Options include a choice of brightness and colour, which can improve even old vending machines. A bespoke service is also offered on quantity production runs.
