Icing on the Cake

25 October 2011

Recognising consumer demand for old fashioned favourites and inspired by a timeless combination - cake and ice-cream - inclusions specialist, Pecan Deluxe Candy (Europe), is launching a range of cakes

Priced for use in standard, soft scoop and premium ice-cream, the innovative cake inclusions include a lemon sponge, coffee cake and a rich, real chocolate brownie.

Available in 6mm, 9mm, 12mm and 25mm cubes, these indulgent ingredients can also be tailored to specific customer requirements in terms of thawing times to match the varying melting points of different ice-creams.

Zesty and vibrant, Pecan Deluxe's lemon sponge inclusions are made with all natural lemon extract and are light and airy - just like a real sponge should be. In contrast to this sophisticated sweet, tangy sponge is the fudgy, decadent brownie.

Made from real dark chocolate, brownie inclusions are also available as a free range version and make a scrumptious addition for any ice-cream treat. When combined with vanilla ice-cream, morello cherries and chocolate flakes, these flavours combine for a magnificent modern take on the 70s classic, black forest gateau which could be a great revelation.

Rounding off the trio of new inclusions is Pecan Deluxe's aromatic coffee cake. Created using premium coffee granules, these unashamedly delicious cake pieces carry an intense coffee flavour and are the perfect partner to praline walnuts, reminiscent of a true old fashioned coffee and walnut cake.
