Watson-Marlow expands into India, NZ

21 September 2011

Watson-Marlow Pumps Group has opened offices in Pune, India and Manukau, New Zealand, cementing its position as a global business that offers local solutions

In a strategic move designed to offer its customers in India and New Zealand even better service and support, Watson-Marlow’s wide range of pump types will now be available direct from the manufacturer in these regions. The offices in Pune, India and Manukau, New Zealand will be staffed with local teams of sales engineers and technical specialists in positive displacement pumping.

Watson-Marlow now has direct sales offices in 21 countries and representation in over 50 more. Building on more than 50 years of supplying trusted engineering and process expertise across a wide range of industries, Watson-Marlow has over one million of its positive displacement pumps installed worldwide.

Martin Johnston, Sales and Marketing Manager – Asia Pacific, comments: “Watson-Marlow may be a global company, but we recognise the importance of being locally-placed to deliver high-quality pumping solutions. The addition of two new direct sales offices is a crucial part of this.

Johnston adds: “India and New Zealand represent important markets for our business, with booming economies and strong manufacturing bases. The increased uptake of positive displacement pumps in these countries reflects a global trend towards technology that allows for precise and reliable metering and dosing.

“We are keen to make ourselves accessible to our client bases in India and New Zealand, offering both local knowledge and sector expertise.”
