Laidler's UCPD courses on Machinery Safety

Laidler Associates, part of the machinery division of TÜV SÜD Product Service, has announced the dates for the next courses it will be running.

These University Certificate in Professional Development (UCPD) courses on European Machinery Safety, Electrical Safety and the newer Functional Safety Standards this Autumn. The first one is due to take place on the 17 October 2011 at the Ramada Hotel, Solihull.

The UCPD courses include a week’s training which covers in detail the regulatory framework relating to machine safety. Once the training is complete the professionals then have 16-week distance learning to complete their final assessment using Laidler’s virtual reality package.

The Electrical and Functional Safety courses are the latest additions to the Laidler training portfolio and cover the application of key EN standards for machinery safety such as EN 60204-1, EN ISO 13849-1 and EN 62061.

Laidler Associates will also be running a series of 1 day functional safety seminars starting in October.

The dates and locations for UCPD Courses are:

· Monday 24 October 2011, Electrical UCPD, Solihull University Course, Ramada Hotel, Solihull

· Monday 28 November 2011, Functional Safety UCPD, Newbury University Course, Ramada Hotel, Newbury

The dates and locations for one-day Functional Safety seminars are:

· Tuesday 11 October 2011, Functional Safety, Solihull University Course, Ramada Hotel, Solihull

· Tuesday 15 November 2011, Functional Safety, Newbury University Course, Ramada Hotel, Newbury

The UCPD courses are University accredited and thereby meet the highest standards; they also offer successful participants University credits that can be used towards additional formal qualifications.
