Partnership is 'recipe for success'

A strategic partnership between two food processing specialists, which goes back almost a decade, is proving to be a recipe for success

Food processing equipment specialist Kiremko first teamed up with chilling and freezing systems market leader GEA Eurotek back in 2002.

Since then the partners have worked in collaboration on the design, manufacture and installation of systems that help to satisfy international demand for fried potato products – French fries in particular.

And now following completion of a project in India, Kiremko and GEA Eurotek are have turned their focus back ‘down under’ as they develop a four tonne/hour French fry line for Australia’s Marvel Packers.

“Fundamentally our customers want to reduce line downtime and increase output capacity and they look to us to help them achieve that. We provide a complete turnkey service, handling the entire project from start to finish,” explained Kiremko Director Andy Gowing.

“It’s vital that there are no weak links in the chain and that’s why we choose our strategic partners very carefully – we simply can’t afford to take risks. Our strength is our ability to handle the most challenging and complicated projects.”

Eurotek Sales Director David Hallifax said that with Eurotek now part of the GEA Freezing group, that included the Aerofreeze and Intec brands, they were better placed than ever to support Kiremko:

“Our partners and customers now benefit from access to greater resources than ever before – ability and expertise that consolidates our position as a market leader. Ultimately it’s about delivering on promises and exceeding expectations and we’re proud to be Kiremko partners.”

French fries have been Kiremko’s core business since it was formed in 1965. Lines are equipped with the latest processing techniques to deliver first class fries – along with other associated potato products such as hash browns.

Kiremko and GEA Eurotek’s relationship began in 2002 with the manufacture and installation of a line at US giant Simplot, which included a series of spiral freezers. Recent projects have included an installation at Mountain Harvest in Australia, featuring a spiral system designed to freeze 750kg an hour of hash browns.

“By bringing together world class manufacturers we are able to offer our customers fully integrated solutions – an approach that is enabling us go from strength to strength,” added Andy Gowing.
