Tetra Pak Processing: And the winner is...

12 August 2011

Dairy Crest Davidstow took the trophy for best single extra mature cheddar cheese, sponsored by Tetra Pak Processing Systems, at the International Cheese Awards in Nantwich

The Davidstow creamery near Camelford also took the trophy last year, having previously won the award in 2008 and 2006. The overall victor must first win one of three class awards in this category.

The single extra mature cheddar classes are among the most fiercely contested at the event, attracting over 75 entries this year. Overall the awards received more than 3700 entries from around the world.

On presenting the trophy Ronny Kvist of Tetra Pak Processing said: “The awards go from strength to strength and winning at this event carries immense prestige. Dairy Crest produces a range of excellent brands and has proved once again that it can consistently produce cheese of the highest quality.”
