Fortress's new 'Stealth' metal detector

02 August 2011

New backwards compatible inspection system features special Lexan control panel designed to withstand the harshest production environments

As the latest in a raft of new product launches during 2011, Fortress Technology Europe has now introduced the Phantom Stealth extra rugged metal detector.

The robust system’s modular design means fewer product parts resulting in greater reliability, while its revolutionary new Lexan control panel has been designed by the company to withstand the harshest production environments.

Offering excellent return on investment, Fortress Technology’s Stealth metal detector has also been developed for future redesigns and new elements of the machine can be retrofitted to older models in the company’s Phantom range, ensuring spare parts and upgrades for additional functionality are readily available.

For heightened stability and performance in wet or heavy duty product applications, the IP66K certified Extra Rugged Casing has been used. The addition of an epoxy chute makes the Stealth water resistant.

The UK designer and manufacturer of high performance metal detection systems has incorporated the latest Digital Signal Processing technology in to the new Stealth, to provide unparalleled precision and speed, and to detect and reject ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including stainless steel.

Other key features include UltraSense, which ensures that high sensitivity levels are maintained in order to detect the smallest metal contaminants, and Auto Test, self- diagnostics tool, which helps to guarantee consistent high performance and to keep costs down.

Using the highest processing power, Fortress Technology’s Phantom systems are renowned for their superior speed, accuracy and ease-of-use and are used widely within a wide range of industry sectors including Bakery, Meats, Packaged Products, Ready Meals, Dairy, Healthcare, Confectionery, Fresh/Chilled/Frozen Foods.

Additional optional precautions include Aperture Lining, using epoxy resin with a labyrinth design seal for heavy wash down situations, or a dry liner for wipe down applications.

Using Fortress Technology’s CONTACT Communication Software, the Stealth metal detector can be transformed in to a Critical Control Point, which captures data and can present performance results at a glance.”
