Habasit Rossi showcases hygienic solutions at MEATUP

01 June 2011

UK manufacturer of conveyor belting, Habasit Rossi, will provide visitors to the first Meatup show with a unique opportunity to see its range of advanced hygienic belting solutions in one place

The stand will feature the latest technology from Habasit’s Cleandrive and HyCLEAN CIP Systems, as well as food standard timing belts and the Rossi HyClean motor.

Ian Thornham, Sales and Marketing Director at Habasit Rossi, explains: “The UK meat processing industry faces an ongoing challenge to reduce costs, improve efficiency and meet tough hygiene standards. At Habasit, we focus on specifically innovating products, technical support and training to ensure processors maximise performance in all those areas.

“Meatup provides a great opportunity for us to bring our offer straight to the heart of the industry and demonstrate first-hand how it can ensure a facility will run at optimum efficiency to control costs, minimise downtime, maximise productivity and, importantly, meet increasingly strict hygiene regulations.”

Taking centre stage at the exhibition will be Habasit’s recently launched Cleandrive, an innovative new belting system which combines the latest fabric and plastic modular belt technology to create a new generation of product, specifically developed to support hygiene sensitive food processes and applications.

Designed to limit the risk of product contamination by preventing waste and residue finding its way into gaps, hinges and dead spots, Cleandrive is both FDA and USDA compliant and features excellent tensile strength. It is especially suited to meat and poultry, fish, fruit and vegetable and dairy product processing, where production processes, particularly hygiene and cross contamination, can prove to be challenging.

Also on show at the exhibition will be Habasit’s innovative HyCLEAN package. A new plastic modular belting solution specifically designed to meet the most demanding hygiene requirements, HyCLEAN has been designed to deliver tangible cost savings and improvements to process and performance.

The package features a new sprocket and 2” flat top module, both made in an advanced, unique hygienic design, together with an innovative CIP (Clean in Place) system, which makes cleaning procedures in food processing areas a much easier and straightforward process.
