Gala dinner will dazzle attendants

06 May 2011

Dinner places are in short supply as bookings flood in for the FP Awards gala dinner to be held at the Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire on the evening of 23 June

Appetite for Engineering usually culminates in a fun-filled gala reception dinner, at which everybody can let their hair down, and enjoy the entertainment (this year it's comedian Ian Irving) and the atmosphere.

There's bound to be more bubbly flowing than usual as several categories were hotly contested: in fact, very few of the winners were runaway affairs. The dinner usually attracts about 250 attendees including finalists and guest speakers from the conference.

Ian Irving, a performer with a remarkable track record in the provision of first-rate entertainment in various settings, will provide.

Ian's achievements are extensive and as a regular on the after-dinner speaking circuit he has become very popular appearing around the world with luminaries such as former Prime Minister, John Major; foreign secretary William Hague; and Ann Widecombe.

Ian has performed for the England and Australian rugby teams, West Indian and England cricket teams, Manchester United's reunion ner and many other top sporting events.

Other events include hosting award ceremonies, such as the Comedy Awards, TV and radio industries awards and he was the top billing cabaret for celebrating Lord Richard Attenborough's 80th birthday party.
