QJS launches high-capacity mobile foamer

04 May 2011

Cleaning equipment specialists for the food processing industry, QJS, has launched a new mobile foaming machine which it claims sets new standards in design, build quality and performance in this sector of the cleaning market

The Technifoamer is a compressed-air driven system designed to meet the specific needs and demands of the food processing industry for a robust, high-capacity, easy-to-use mobile unit that applies cleaning chemicals quickly, efficiently and in a controlled manner.

Users will appreciate the high capacity tank which packs 110 litres of pre-diluted chemicals into its compact 860 x 525 x 760mm body. The tank requires fewer refills and helps to significantly reduce cleaning cycle times.

The tank itself is manufactured from extremely durable, impact resistant Polyethylene which, says the British manufacturer, has been drop-tested, fully loaded, from a height of 1 metre with no splits or damage to the tank body.

Attention-to-detail is evident throughout the specification of the Technifoamer, as QJS Senior Partner, Ted Turner, explains: “We listened very carefully to our customers in the food processing industry and the feedback we received has driven the development of the Technifoamer.

“The emphasis is very much on attention-to-detail, both in design and manufacture,” he said. “For example, we have made the Technifoamer available in red or blue to help reduce the risk of cross contamination between areas. The back plate is manufactured in solid stainless steel, as is the air valve, which dramatically reduces the chances of valve failure – a common problem with other mobile foamers currently on the market.

“The Technifoamer also comes with a lightweight ½" flexible hose, up to 20 metres long,” he added. “This feature alone makes the operative’s job so much easier than having to drag a heavy, stiff hose around the factory.”

Other features include a solid stainless compact foam valve and lance, a polished stainless steel handle and smooth non-marking wheels. Options available include a 10 metre foam hose and chlorine-proof pumps.

Pre-diluted chemicals are pumped from the main tank by an air diaphragm pump, and delivered through the application hose. The introduction of compressed air via a control valve enables the foam quality and consistency to be accurately adjusted to suit the chemical and the application.

There is no pressure build-up in the tank at any time. Daily maintenance and flush-through is straightforward. For extra peace of mind, the QJS Technifoamer is protected by a comprehensive 12-month warranty against parts failure and manufacturing faults.
