tna boosts seasoning capabilities with acquisition

24 March 2011

Demonstrating its focus on providing a complete range of packaging solutions, tna has announced its acquisition of Arcall, a supplier of innovative seasoning and cutting systems

Demonstrating its focus on providing a complete range of packaging solutions, tna is pleased to announce its acquisition of Arcall (www.arcall.co.uk), a leading supplier of innovative seasoning and cutting systems.

As a result of the acquisition, tna can now offer multiple seasoning and spraying products along with an extensive range of specialised cheese cutting solutions, suitable for use across a wide variety of applications. These machines can also be easily integrated with tna’s existing portfolio of cutting-edge packaging equipment.

Commenting on the recent development, Bob Fritz, director of business development, tna, said: “This acquisition underlines our commitment to becoming a single source supplier of flexible, high performance food packaging solutions. Seasoning is an integral part of the manufacturing process and finding an effective seasoning system is vital for the success of any production line.

“Our acquisition of Arcall has given tna access to market-leading seasoning technology and now positions us as the only supplier of seasoning solutions for the whole production line – from the end of fryers or ovens right through to packing. We are confident this will bring added value and increased opportunities to customers and they, in turn, will reap the rewards.”

“We are all excited at the prospect of becoming part of the tna group,” said David Woollard, previous owner of Arcall, along with his wife Pippa. “From the beginning, providing unique seasoning and cutting systems has been at the heart of our business ethos. Our acquisition by tna means we can take this to another level.”

The design brief for this product was to bring ‘bag in box’ wine into the 21st century. In order to do so, it was decided that wine in a box had to become ‘fashionable’.
