Appetite: Big names will star again

Appetite for Engineering will be sponsored by some of the biggest names in the industry including ABB, Siemens, Ishida Europe, Rittal, Festo, Omron and headline sponsors Bosch Rexroth

The biggest networking conference in the food industry, which will be held at the Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire on 23 June, has seen top sponsors signing on.

With all speakers now confirmed, delegates booking to get early places at the event, and sponsors lining up to ensure they don’t miss out on being part of Appetite 2011, it’s all systems go.

The list of speakers includes Lord Rupert Redesdale, chairman of ADBA; Charles Baughan, MD of Westaway Sausages; and Melanie Leech, director-general of the Food & Drink Federation (FDF).

Also speaking will be David Alvis, a lead specialist at the Technology Strategy Board. On the subject of skills and training, speakers include Hazel Elderkin of Unilever; Fiona White of Domino; and Soeren Vonsild of Arla Foods.
 
All of them will then sit in on the Morning Panel Debate.

After tea, Jane Bickerstaffe of INCPEN will talk about packaging regulations and restrictions. Ardo's marketing manager Simon Baxter and operations director Jim Everest are next up - they'll address how the frozen fruit and vegetable producer refitted its factory for new machinery.

VION Group and Fabra are next up to talk about waste management, then it's Jos van Limberghen of Coco-Cola Enterprises who will address machine documentation and reducing downtime.

Neil Brown of The Hygiene Group will talk about ensuring the cleanliness of factories.

Interspersed throughout the day will be talks from the following SMEs: Muddy Boots, Mr Singh's Sauce and Wooden Spoon and Karimix.
