Appetite back for fourth year in 2011

08 December 2010

Appetite for Engineering, Food Processing's associated annual network conferencing event, will next year be back for the fourth time

The date has been confirmed as 23 June and the venue will be the same as the past two years - the Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire.

The provisional speakers' list features several heavyweights including Lord Rupert Redesdale, chairman of the Anaerobic Digestion & Biogas Association (ADBA); members of the Technology Strategy Board (TSB); the Food & Drink Federation's director-general, Melanie Leech; Honeytop Speciality Foods and installation specialists RG Luma; MD of Westaway's, Charles Baughan, and various other industry luminaries.

This year's Appetite for Engineering event was well attended and speakers from industries as diverse as the banking sector (Lloyds TSB); skills (National Skills Academy); hygiene (Chilled Food Association); retail (Marks & Spencer); and robotics (CenFRA) attended.

Next year's event will see some changes: the one-to-one event which was this year held at the end of the day has evolved into 'consultancy sessions' which will take place throughout the day.
