X-ray detects seal inclusions

03 September 2010

Anritsu Industrial Solutions Europe has introduced a new feature to its range of X-ray inspection systems which is now available for the first time in the UK

The ‘Package Check’ function is able to detect very small product inclusions in the sealing area of a wide range of heat sealed products such as ready meals, and fresh meat and poultry trays. This unique feature checks only the sealing area ensuring the integrity of the outgoing product.

The function can be used in conjunction with foreign body detection (typically giving 0.8mm stainless steel detection or better) or any other of the standard Anritsu inspections such as virtual weighing, shape, count and fill level.

Anritsu Industrial Solutions, founded in 1967, is a manufacturer of X-ray, check weighing and metal detection solutions for the food, pharmaceutical and packaging industries. Headquartered in Atsugi, Japan the company employs over 300 people with subsidiaries three continents and distributors throughout the world.
