Habasit Rossi launches innovative Cleandrive belt system

UK market leader in conveyor belting, Habasit Rossi, has launched Habasit Cleandrive, an innovative belting system which combines the latest fabric and plastic modular belt technology to create a new generation of product, specifically developed to support hygiene sensitive food processes and applications
Habasit Cleandrive is designed to limit the risk of product contamination by preventing waste and residue finding its way into gaps, hinges and dead spots. The new system is both FDA and USDA compliant and features excellent tensile strength. It is especially suited to meat and poultry, fish, fruit and vegetable and dairy product processing, where production processes, particularly hygiene and cross contamination, can prove to be challenging.

By including high technology fibres within the extruded Cleandrive belt material, excellent tensile strength is attained without high tension. This enables efficient belt driving under load without the accompanying wear on bearings and other components experienced by conventional fabric belts.
It also eliminates belt creep under load, and retains constant belt dimensions with good lifetime tracking behaviour to improve drive energy efficiency and minimise maintenance and adjustment.
The Cleandrive system includes a full belt width tracking bar, allowing sprockets to positively engage right across the belt width, and facilitates cutting to any application width. This also improves the belt drive characteristics of the system.
Cleandrive belt’s homogenous, closed, smooth surface is very easy to clean, with no traps or hinges to clamp the product, facilitating good product release, for better process efficiency and less waste. The belt material is also impervious to chemical cleaning attack.
