mk ‘INOX’ stainless-steel conveyor
14 June 2010
The mk Technology Group, an innovative supplier of standardised modules and components for the plant and special machine building sectors, presents the new mk INOX stainless steel conveyor

With this, mk has twinned the special requirements in the pharmaceutical and food industry for sterile working environments with the modularisation principles which have already proven their worth in aluminium profile technology.
Darren Whiteside, Director at mk Profile Systems explains: "The mk INOX belt conveyors, roller conveyors and flat top chain conveyors are made from stainless-steel. Thanks to their open construction, all modules can be thoroughly cleaned, quickly and easily.
"Assembling stands, side guides and accessories and integrating them in existing machine frames is no problem whatsoever. An extensive range of FDA-conforming conveyor belts, conveyor rollers and flat top chain conveyors rounds off the range."
The mk INOX belt conveyor has an internal belt return which acts as intervention protection. In addition, as a result the belt conveyor can be placed on a large flat surface without stands or a base. Belts can be quickly changed using an optionally available swing mechanism in the belt body. Convex crowned drive rolls and tails also make belt adjustment easy. The individual belt speed and load, clearance contour and maintenance cost requirements are serviced by different drive arrangements and a coordinated motor range.
Various beam profiles for different weight classes are available for mk INOX gravity roller conveyors. As a standard, the beam profiles are notched to hold the rollers so that protruding rollers enable extra wide workpieces to be conveyed. On request, the notching will be made in such a way that the beam profiles simultaneously serve as side rails.
The mk INOX flat top chain conveyors can be used for any combination of straight sections, sliding and rolling curves, transfer segments and bends required. The conveyors are supplemented by side rails conforming to FDA specifications.
