Wire Belt features Conveyor Belting

05 May 2010

Wire Belt features New Compact GridTM Conveyor Belting at Total. In a recent test, Compact Grid had five times greater flow through than the average plastic modular belt.

Wire Belt Company, a leading innovator of conveyor belting solutions, will feature the NEW CompactGridTM conveyor belt at Total 2010. CompactGrid is designed specifically to handle smaller, more delicate products, while providing a lower mass, open-mesh belt design that is ideal for high speed processing operations.

Engineered with a 70% open surface area, CompactGrid provides optimal performance for processes in which product coating, drainage, and liquid or air circulation are factors. In a recent test, CompactGrid had 5 times greater flow through than the average plastic modular belt.

CompactGrid’s flow through capabilities will reduce the time required to heat up or cool down a product, therefore reducing energy costs. Increased open area of the CompactGrid belt combined with its proven-to-be superior flow-through characteristics will enable easier and more thorough cleaning and sanitation of the processor’s conveyor systems. These are clear advantages in food processing facilities where water resource management, and minimization of cleaning agents and chemical waste streams have become a very important issue!

Wire Belt Company now also offer NEW Slim-Profile Sprockets™, designed exclusively for CompactGrid conveyor belts. The new Slim-profile sprockets are an alternative solution for driving your CompactGrid conveyor belts, offering less mass than our standard drive components. Slim-Profile Sprockets have less material, which means your conveyor won’t work as hard to keep your process moving, increasing your efficiencies! Available in stainless steel or polyacetal plastic, they are easily installed on your drive setup.
