LB Materials Handling chooses Mitsubishi

16 April 2010

Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks has found its ‘perfect match’ in the latest addition to its Authorised Dealer Network: Wigan-based LB Materials Handling (LBMH)

Announcing the appointment, Mike Jones, general manager of Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks UK said: “LBMH is recognised as one of the region’s largest and most respected sales and service operations. From its state-of-the-art facilities in Wigan, the company combines a wealth of experience with the latest technologies to deliver a level of responsiveness that is hugely valued by its large customer base. LBMH’s strength and expertise will be major assets to our network.”

LBMH currently supports over 300 north-western businesses of all types and sizes, including AK Worthington PLC, SAICA (SCA) Packaging and Maccess (IAD). Its engineers can provide 24/7 servicing to ensure maximum productivity for customers. The company also offers competitive finance packages for new or used equipment, and flexible contracts for long or short term hire, meaning that a deal can always be tailored to meet the customer’s materials handling needs and budget.

On a wider stage, LBMH has the capability to service national customers, such as Eddie Stobart and Scott Timber, uses its extensive resources to meet the needs of regional distribution centres (RDCs) right across the UK.

According to LBMH’s director Greg White, the move is particularly positive for the company’s customers. “Mitsubishi was a natural choice for us. Like LBMH, Mitsubishi is a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation with a much-envied reputation for delivering quality engineering, reliability and value for money. The new relationship gives our customers access to some of the finest trucks in the world. At the same time, we enjoy exceptionally short lines of communication between ourselves and the factory – which means we can respond very quickly and effectively. As a result, our customers benefit from market-leading forklifts and LBMH’s high levels of service support – the perfect combination.”

He concludes: “This development marks an important new phase for LBMH. The Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks UK team has already demonstrated a real responsiveness and ‘can-do’ mentality which has allowed us to hit the ground running. First impressions among our customers are that the new trucks are exactly what they are looking for.”

(L to R) Neil Farrimond and Greg White are welcomed to Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks UK by Regional Manager Martyn Davies.
