17 February 2010

Leading glass manufacturer Beatson Clark has announced the appointment of Tony McLoughlin to the position of managing director

Tony joins from First Milk Cheese Company, having previously spent several years within some of the country’s leading FMCG companies such as Procter and Gamble, Cadbury Trebor Bassett and more recently as Divisional Supply Chain Director at Northern Foods.

Tony commented: “This is an exciting opportunity that will allow me to utilise my knowledge and expertise in the consumer market to further develop Beatson Clark’s enviable reputation as the leading UK manufacturer of niche glass containers.

“My initial focus is service and quality, building on the excellent levels we attain at present and further developing them in line with the business objectives of ‘delivering the difference’. My understanding of the food business and its requirements will be greatly beneficial to this role and I certainly look forward to the exciting challenges ahead.”

Tony, originally from Brighton, attended Sheffield University as an Economics student, he discovered the delights of the north and decided to build his career in the region. A family man, Tony is married with two daughters and a son. His southern routes are not far from Tony’s heart as a keen football player he also supports his beloved Seagulls, Brighton & Hove Albion.
