Pecan Deluxe’s global Brownie explosion

19 August 2008

A producer of bakery inclusions, Pecan Deluxe Candy (Europe) has won an order for its brownie inclusions from an internationally recognised quick service restaurant chain

Pecan Deluxe's soft brownie inclusions are combined with a rich chocolate fudge sauce before being swirled into real dairy ice-cream, to produce a truly indulgent soft ice-cream dessert for use by the customer worldwide.
There are five different sizes and brownie variations available from Pecan Deluxe, which can all be tailored to give varying levels of sweetness, saltiness and hardness depending on the customer requirements.
All brownies are preservative free, but long ambient life can be created through double baking, to enhance the taste and create a long-life ambient option. This particular choice, which has been created for the standard bittersweet variant, produces a significant life extension. With their incredible shelf-life properties the brownie pieces can be kept at room temperature and therefore do not need to be stored in expensive temperature controlled facilities.
Not only can customers benefit from a wide selection of choice in flavour type but they are also provided with a flexible solution whereby the pieces can be supplied in different sizes - for example, the customer uses a smaller 6mm size in one market and 9mm in another.
Pecan Deluxe's brownie range has been developed to give food producers worldwide maximum choice and flexibility. The full brownie range gives specific tastes and textures which can be used within the dairy, bakery, snack and food service industries.
The company's global success with its brownie range has been greatly attributed to its versatile range of gooey, chewy and rich ultimate brownie options. The chewy and gooey brownie, which are slightly sweeter, are ideal for including in premium desserts to make them even more indulgent.
Pecan Deluxe's latest customer opted for a nut-free blend of brownie, which is produced in the nut-free area of Pecan Deluxe's Sherburn-in-Elmet based factory. However, if customers require a nut blend this is sourced from Pecan Deluxe's parent company in the United States.
The company's UK managing director Allan Dew said: "This latest order has been a massive success for Pecan Deluxe, it puts us at the forefront of the fast food industry and we are extremely keen to continue developing our inclusions to be even more suitable for other fast food businesses. The introduction of our brownie pieces has been so successful that this particular customer is looking to introduce even more of our ingredients into its products and we are very excited about working with them on more projects in the future."
