Rapid cross-contamination test for meat

29 August 2016

In collaboration with Bio-Check UK, Klenzan has launched what is believed to be the first dedicated, rapid, on-site verification test kit for the presence of meat proteins.

The eight-minute test is designed to detect low levels of certain meat species to ensure product integrity and the prevention of cross-contamination. It allows companies that handle multi-species products, to check that equipment is suitably cleaned.

The testing kit consists of a test device and a swab giving a simple  ‘detected’ or ‘not-detected’ result.

At under £20 per test, it allows on-site testing to be undertaken in a very short time and at an affordable price.
