PPS announce FSDF associate membership

17 June 2016

FSDF welcomes returnable packaging service provider PPS as an associate member to the food logistics federation. Supporting a vital role in the food supply chain, PPS have nearly 15 years’ experience in building and managing reusable packaging systems to develop sustainable business models that not only reduce waste but provide cost savings and have hygiene at the forefront.

The federation promotes excellence in the food and drinks logistics industry and provides support and advice to members, combined with sharing best practice, research and development, evolving services and addressing industry issues.

“The food industry forms a large part of the PPS business so this was an ideal opportunity to reach out to the industry through a supported federation. We first engaged with FSDF at Foodex 2016 when we attended their breakfast seminar. We were impresses with their presentation, values and character, of which PPS would complement by standing as an associate member and provide value with our services, experience and knowledge,” commented Joanne Moss, Managing Director.

The use of returnables is still a growing opportunity in the food industry and whether you are new to RTP or could develop your current system, PPS will review and analyse your supply chain to suggest the next steps on building a greener and leaner system. Whether you already own your own equipment that requires washing, need bulk bins, plastic pallets or handling equipment on rental or need full management with plastic pallets, crates and transport combined into one simple pricing format, PPS have the structure to support your business needs from their BRC approve wash sites. With their own online management system EnableTM you could benefit from full visibility throughout the supply chain by maximising the availability of your assets, reduce stock holding, minimise losses and reducing misuse. Providing pooling, rental, washing, repairs, management and sales of returnable packaging, PPS really is the one stop shop for your supply chain packaging.

“We’re delighted to be partnered with FSDF and look forward to meeting other members at their events and show. It’s a fantastic platform to be informed of views and issues from the industry and being part of a bigger voice” commented Moss.
