Mondelez hits out at 'misleading' Cadbury's documentary

22 March 2016

Mondelez has described a Channel 4 documentary on Cadbury’s as “one-sided and misleading”.

The company hit out after the documentary, ‘Dispatches: The Secrets of Cadbury’, accuses it of “breaking promises” by presiding over thousands of job cuts at Cadbury’s as well as moving production abroad.

The documentary said Dairy Milk, as well as Dairy Milk Marvelous Creations are now produced in Poland.

The company said that all “classic” Dairy Milk bars, excluding the small 99 calorie bar were still produced in the UK.

“The one-sided and misleading programme did not fully reflect the thriving life at Cadbury in 2016,” the company said in a statement.

“This is a great disservice to the thousands of hard working colleagues in the UK who are proud to work here, treasure Cadbury’s history and are excited about its future.”
