Vikan UST wins SOFHT Award for Best New Product or Service

18 January 2016

At a ceremony in London on 19 November, the Society of Food Hygiene and Technology (SOFHT) named Vikan’s Ultra Safe Technology (UST) brushes the winner of its “Best New Product or Service” award.

More than 400 representatives from the food industry attended this year’s SOFHT Awards ceremony, and candidates for the prestigious “Best New Product” award must be nominated by two companies in the industry.

Ultra Safe Technology
The innovative new Ultra Safe Technology (UST) from Vikan reinvents the humble brush to provide the food industry with a cleaning product that helps minimise the risk of cross-contamination and bristle loss. From their hygienic design, through their unique, technologically advanced manufacture, to their global use within the food industry, UST products are helping to improve food safety and quality worldwide. Developed in close co-operation with the food industry and comprehensively tested for safety, durability and efficacy, UST products aim to provide the food industry with the most secure, safe and hygienic brushware on the market today.

Carsten Bo Pedersen, CEO for Vikan, says:
“We could not be more pleased by this award, which validates years of hard work by the Vikan team and shows that, when you create something that really is a hygiene revolution, the food and beverage industry stands up and takes notice.”
