Wire Belt Company celebrates KEiBA success

10 September 2015

Wire Belt has won a 2015 Kent Excellence in Business Award.  The achievement was celebrated at a glittering event at Kent Event Centre, Kent Showground, Detling.

Thirteen businesses and individuals were selected as category winners after a tough judging process whittled down hundreds of entries to 46 finalists.

Wire Belt Company Ltd from Sittingbourne won the award for Manufacturing Business of the Year.

Wire Belt offers many styles and specifications of belts for a wide range of applications, but each is designed to improve process efficiency.

Winners of the fifteen categories received a specially created glass trophy, designed by renowned Kent glass artist Annie Ross.

Gary Allen, Commercial Director at Wire Belt Company Ltd said “We are proud of all the staff at Wire Belt and it is due to their hard work and dedication which led to our success in this award.”

KEiBA aims to recognise and reward excellence in Kent and Medway businesses of all sizes as well as individual awards. It’s hoped that the awards will also boost staff morale and help attract new staff. Winning an award will also help businesses raise their profile in Kent.

All of the entries went through a rigorous judging process, which rated entrants against pre-set criteria to select a shortlist for each category.  The judges then visited the short-listed entrants to carry out a more in-depth investigation through face-to-face interviews before selecting the list of finalists and the ultimate winner.
