Food and beverage software solutions on display

08 September 2015

At Anuga, IT specialist CSB-System will underline its position as a Global Software Expert in Food and Beverage with a variety of new solutions for corporate management, process control and industrial automation.  These include solutions for traceability and nutrition labelling, and modules to help create a Smart Food Factory.

Food businesses use the CSB-System to control and automate the flow of information and materials throughout the entire value chain, from receiving through production and internal logistics to despatch and delivery. The modular and scalable industry-specific solution is suitable for any type of operation.

The system calculates the input of goods and resources, optimises recipes as well as processing and refinement procedures, and maximises delivery capability. At the same time, the industry-specific solution guarantees high product quality and food safety. The CSB portfolio also comprises solutions for mobile collection of internal and external data.

Among others, traceability and nutrition labelling are key topics at Anuga.   With CSB Traceability, corporate users control, document and monitor the flow of goods for their products throughout the entire logistical chain. All origin and processing data can be captured completely and forwarded to customers and external databases, such as fTRACE or mynetfair.

The integrated modules for nutritional value calculation and nutrition labelling facilitate automated calculation, labelling and management of ingredients, nutritional values, allergens and genetically modified ingredients.  In addition, product passports can be created in line with the latest EU standard. …/
As part of the move towards Industry 4.0 and the independently working food factory, CSB will also present information about IT solutions used for production automation as well as for online machine data capture and automated data capture. Other field-proven components on show will include mobile company applications, cloud solutions, RFID and software-aided maintenance.

Another example is the CSB image processing technology, which enables fully automatic classification and sorting of raw material based on defined criteria, leading to optimised control of production and elimination of rejects.

Furthermore, experts from CSB Automation AG will present state-of-the-art automation concepts and sorting systems that make it possible to implement high-performance automatic picking.
